Terms of Service
Last updated: July 8, 2026
Welcome! These terms govern your use of Christian Worldschoolers (christianworldschoolers.com). By creating an account you agree to them, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Statement of Faith. We’ve tried to keep them readable — this is a community of families, and we’d rather be clear than clever.
1. Who can join
- Family accounts are created by a parent or guardian aged 18 or older.
- Teens aged 13–17 may hold their own limited account only when it is linked to their parent’s registered account, and the parent consents. Children under 13 may not hold accounts.
- Membership requires agreeing to the Statement of Faith. Christian Worldschoolers is, by design, a community of evangelical Christian families — that shared foundation is the product.
- You agree that your profile describes your real family truthfully. Impersonation or fabricated profiles are grounds for removal.
2. Vetting, membership tiers, and billing
- Free tier. Creating a profile is free. Your family appears on the world map at the precision you choose, and stays there even if you never pay us a cent.
- Vetting. Initiating contact with other families requires vetting — a short video call with our team. We may decline or defer vetting at our discretion; declined families keep their free profile.
- Free trial. Once vetted, you receive a full-access free trial (currently 30 days, no card required). When it ends, your account returns to the free tier automatically — no surprise charges, and other members can still reach out to you.
- Paid membership. Currently $10 per month, billed through Stripe. Prices may change; existing subscribers get email notice before any change affects them. You can cancel any time from Settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Donationsare voluntary gifts to support the platform and are not refundable, though if something went wrong, write to us and we’ll make it right.
3. Community standards
As a member you agree to:
- Treat other families with the kindness the Statement of Faith calls us to — no harassment, hate, or abuse.
- Protect children: never share another family’s location, contact details, or children’s information outside the platform without their consent.
- Keep the platform non-commercial: no unsolicited advertising, recruiting, or fundraising outside the places designed for it (for example, mission listings go through review).
- Not scrape, harvest, or attempt to access data the platform doesn’t intentionally show you.
- Use the report button rather than escalating disputes — flags go to a real person.
4. Your content
- You own what you post — your profile, photos, posts, and recommendations. You grant us the license needed to store and display it within the platform so the community can see it.
- We may remove content or restrict accounts that violate these terms or endanger the community. Moderation decisions include a human being.
- If you delete your account, your content comes down with it, except limited records kept for safety or legal reasons (see the Privacy Policy).
5. Meeting in person
The whole point of this community is real-world fellowship — and real-world judgment stays yours. We vet members, but vetting is not a guarantee of anyone’s conduct. Use normal wisdom when meeting other families, especially for co-stays and travel: public first meetings, references, and no arrangement you wouldn’t make without us. Parents and guardians remain responsible for their children at all times, online and off.
6. The service, as-is
We work hard to keep the platform available and accurate, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Christian Worldschoolers and its team are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or from interactions between members. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
7. Ending an account
You can leave any time by cancelling your subscription and requesting deletion. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable. Provisions that by their nature survive termination (content licenses for moderation records, liability limits) survive.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Christian Worldschoolers is organized.
9. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes we’ll update the date above and email members before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the platform after that date means you accept the updated terms.
